So, I’ve realised, if you don’t actually know me, you don’t actually know anything about me! So, here is a list of 15 random things about meeeeee!

-I am the MOST accident prone person on the planet. Bella Swan aint got nothin’ on me!

-Reality TV sucks me in

-I am a natural blond

-I have never seen ‘The Sound of Music’

-I have some MAJOR crushes on fictional characters

-Tim Burton is my hero

-I am team Jacob, not team Edward! (*gasp*)

-Money means little to me, as long as I’m happy… Though a little extra wouldn’t go astray! ;)

-I have has the same best friend since I was 4 years old (20 years!)

-My dogs sleep in my bed

-I have a ‘thing’ for history – ancient especially. The past fascinates me

-I love Dawson’s Creek and am not afraid to admit it

-Grey’s Anatomy is probably my favourite TV show (probably… maybe…)

-Although I like television shows etc, I probably only watch half an hour each day and turn my tele on at like 11pm

-I love to bake. It soooothes me!

…OK, so not the most useful information about myself, but information nonetheless. If you haven’t guessed already, my Pro-Blogger task for the day was to write a list!

Pro-Blogger Challenge…

Posted by Brige | Posted in Pro Blogger | Posted on 28-01-2010

Today is the first day of a blogger challenge I have started… Each day for 31 days I will have tasks I need to complete (some of which I will post and others probably not! – Don’t worry, the ones I am not posting are only not being posted as I assume they won’t be very interesting for readers – I’m not keeping secrets! :) )

Anyway, today’s task was to create an “Elevator Pitch” for the blog. Obviously the idea is to really figure out what your blog is about… Which presents problem number one… What is my blog about? Nothing…? Everything…? Me…? Life. I guess, in my mind, too much to sum up into a neat little sentence describing something about nothing whist still being specific. (Confused yet?!)

Anyhow, I still managed to come up with my two as I am determined to complete this challenge. So here they are and please comment with opinions!

(Short version)

The semi-daily ramblings of a twenty-something dreamer girl living life out loud…

(Long version)

The semi-daily ramblings of a twenty-something, post-it obsessed, animal-loving dreamer girl living life out loud. Life is an adventure, so follow mine whilst your living yours… See where life takes me – the ups and downs of work, family, baby making and everything in between… This is my blog about nothing in particular, making it about everything, really. This is my life… Out loud.

I know its not very specific but neither is my blog I guess… And in my mind, life is way too much of an adventure to sum up like that. So what do you think?

On another note, I’m still unwell but managed to trek to Canberra yesterday for Mic’s birthday to see Avatar with my gorgeous hubby and our friends Marty and Greg. I liked it a lot. I think the hype for it (i.e. “OMGGGGGG Its the best movie everrrrrrrrr! I’ve seen it like sixteen timesss!”) sort of gave me higher expectations… The movie itself is definitely NOT the best I have ever seen – the storyline is typical, but I liked it nonetheless. The graphics however were standout. THAT is what made the movie. It was simply beautiful!

Anyway, I’m off for the day…

PS- Perhaps I should have included something about my obsessive quote sharing in my elevator pitch?

Sick :(

I woke up totally fine yesterday morning and at around lunch time started to feel a bit queasy… Since then It’s just got worse. I totally dislike being sick like this in summer as it always feels like I’ve got some sort of crazy tropical Amazon fever and am going to lose my mind!

Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll get much work done today – started writing an article earlier and was just too off to do it and ended up just sitting with my head in my hands staring at it. Hopefully by this afternoon it will have passed a little and I can finish and do a little more. I hate having a totally unproductive day! I definitely hope I’m better by tomorrow as its Mic’s 26th birthday and he wants to go 10 pin bowling and watch Avatar in 3D… (Yeah, I know, we’re probably the last people on the planet to see it!)

My little buddy Cooper is also sick (The wonderful Jen & Marc’s son) so I hope he gets better soon also… Being sick as an adult sucks enough, but being only 13 months old and being sick in summer must be frightening! Poor litttle man… I’d take it away from him if I could and pack the brunt of it all!

OK, well I’m off to bed again… I hope you all have a very happy Australia Day and are all out celebrating! (Have a drink for me please – actually, don’t. The thought of that just made my stomach turn!)…

Last Night…

My internet went out… And there was nothing I could do about it! But… One of my best friends in the world, Lizzie, turned up at my house, so it was alllll OK! I have been insanely good friends with Lizzie since I was 14 or 15 years old and absolutely nothing has changed in our friendship over the past ten years. I love when Lizzie comes to visit me – we just laugh like maniacs for hours and hours… One of our chef friends, Marty cooked us a lovely dinner and we had such a great night. (Do you think I remembered to take photos? No.)

Lizzie introduced us to something called a ‘Rip Stick’ which I did NOT have a go of as I am terribly accident prone, but we all went down to the local skate park and played around (I watched the others nail themselves haha!) so it was great fun! It got late and Lizzie stayed the night… This morning we sat for hours and hours drinking coffee and chatting about books and being a dreamer… Lizzie is just exactly like me – we both always have our head in the clouds… It was sad to say goodbye to her this afternoon as I know I wont see her for a while as she’s moving away for a few years…

One of our conversations during dinner last night was particularly funny so I will share… Have you ever seen a fire danger sign on the road? Looks a little something like this… Well, they have decided to add another notch to the scale called “Catastrophic”. I think thats totally extreme! I mean, to me, if I saw ‘catastrophic’ on a fire danger sign, I am also expecting to see armageddon! I think ‘extreme’ is a fair enough a warning… And if they really needed another one, perhaps ‘critical’ would be a better word than ‘catastrophic’! Don’t you think thats a little much? The connotations I get from the word catastrophic are just insane!

Anyway, I’m going to leave it there, and I’ll leave you with this…

Welcome!

Welcome to the semi-daily ramblings of a twenty-something dreamer girl…

I’m not sure what the furure of this blog withh bring, but only time will tell… I’m sure it will be a strange outlet for the random things which happen in my life, but hey, I’m all for that! I’m still working on the blog design at the moment so I will resume blogging once it is all done and dusted! Until then I will leave you with a picture of my strange house guest from the other day… We have named him “Mr. Goanna”… (I do hope he’s a boy, as it would be quite insulting for him if not!)

It’s also my aim to leave you all with a quote that I love in each blog post, so here’s today’s:

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted…” – Aesop

Until next time…
