I am going to preface this by saying that I find it very difficult to say a big spiel about myself… I mean, how does one sum up what they are all about in one page? … But I shall try!
OK, I am a dreamer… I always have my head in the clouds or my nose in a book. (or both)… I take certain things seriously, but in general I’m a bit of a joker and like to look on the brighter side of life… I try to always see a positive outcome in any negative situation… I don’t like to be stressed about anything so I try to stay as open-minded and as easy going as I can be, but of course, this comes with its fair share of challenges.
I love animals – and I don’t mean the regular old “I love animals” story, I LOVE them. I don’t think that I could exist in a world where there wasnt a dog at my feet and ants in the yard. I have three dogs, they are my best friends… (Lame? Maybe… But they are!) Sadly our boy Elroy passed away in August of 2009 and we still miss him every single day. Life isnt the same with my old man around… And this may seem crazy, but the house still feels quiet with only three muttleys running around. I also have a rabbit named Pancakes and he’s a rad little dude…
I write everything down… Everything. I never want to forget a thing so I just take notes as life goes by… I have a mild post-it obsession and stick them pretty much everywhere. (OK, maybe not so mild…) I love to write as well as read and one day I hope to do a course in creative writing so I can get some of my ideas onto paper.
My husband Mis is awesome… He’s goofy, forgetful, funny, dorky and totally far from perfect and I love his flaws more than anythng on this planet. He’s definitely not a superhero, but he is my hero. I’d be utterly lost without him in my life – he’s the best… Because he’s my husband. We’re NOTHING alike. Polar opposites. Nothing in common what-so-ever… But its awesome. Keeps us guessing…
My friends mean the world to me… They keep me on my toes but also keep me grounded. Without them I’d be a mess!
I am totally, and completely accident prone… I mean Murphey’s Law accident prone! I am sure I learned to walk properly as a child but somehow as an adult, I’ve lost it. I fall over constantly, grazy my knees, burn myself cooking, step on glass, get bitten by spiders (like more than anyone in the world!) and yesterday I opened a door into my face… Nice.
OK well i’ll leave it there… And leave you with this – one of my favourite quotes:
“Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans…” – John Lennon, Beautiful Boy
